After the vertical seams, the horizontal seams are next. This seaming follows the contour of the metal panel. Mesh needs to be applied loose to adjust to the curing acrylic, yet stretched enough to avoid "fishmouths". |

Two acrylic coatings are applied to the roof. In most cases, the coatings are applied by brush, not sprayed. It is true that the sprayed acrylic goes down faster, but our experience has taught us that spraying invites customer concern. The concern is that the building owner's customers--such as plane owners--express considerable concern about overspray. So we brush. |

The top coat is a newly formulated acrylic designed to maintain the white luster longer. Andek calls this version "XTRA WHITE".Amazingly, this version of white acrylic is cool to the touch, even on 90+ days. |
